What's happening in March

In The Bear Den News....
First of all the Blue and Gold dinner was a success! All of the bears and their families came and enjoyed a great dinner. The cakes were amazing! Good job boys. I hope you all enjoyed learning more about the different states of America. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Cub scout day camp is coming up the week of March 15. A rally is scheduled for Tues. March 17th to kick off the event. This is for parents to attend and the cub scout needs to wear his uniform. The camp then will start on Thurs. March 19th at 4:00 - 8:00pm. same thing on Friday and lastly on Sat. from 9:00am-4:oopm. All of these dates will take place at the ball fields at the Jones and Smoke Ranch chapel. Please plan on attending the camp rally so that you can get all of the information needed to make sure that your son will have a good time.

I am in need of some help for camp. We need to have two adults accompany our group of boys during camp. With my baby, I am unable to attend the whole time. I am planning on being there on Friday from 4-7pm and Sat. from 9-12. I have a conflict on Thursday and need two parents help on that night. I also need One on Friday. One on Sat from 9-12 and two from 12-4.
Please let me know if you can help. Before I make phone calls, I'll wait to see if any of these times work for you.

We will have den meeting on the 4th and the 11th. Same place and time (church/4:30pm). We will be finishing up on section 3 What Makes America Special. We are also going to learn to play some group games found in section 15.

The denner for March is Sabastian Barranca

What's happening in Febuary.

In The Bear Den News....

Congratulations to all the boys for participating in the pinewood derby. All the cars were awesome!! Good Work!.

The Blue and Gold dinner will be held at the end of this month on Friday, 27th at 6:30pm at the church. This is for the whole family. Please mark your calendars and plan on coming. The theme for the dinner this year is inspired by America. We want each boy to participate in making a cake that represents one our fifty states. Boys will be drawing states in an upcoming den meeting. Once each boy knows what state he will be doing, we want him to learn about the state and present what he has learned on his cake. This is a great opportunity for the boys to be imaginative and creative in their learning. Each year, it is so much fun to see the different cakes. They all turn out so good!

Money is DUE this week for day camp. I need the form and a check made payable to Patti Edgel brought to den meeting tomorrow. The cost is $45.00. It is well worth it. The boys have lots of fun and pass off lots of requirement towards their BEAR. Mark your calendars for March 19-21. If you have any questions, please contact me. (Jodi Walters 434-3921). I will provide more information as the date approaches.

We will be meeting for den meeting at the church Feb. 11th and 18th at 4:30pm. This month we will be learning about knots in section 22 of the book. Please have the boys bring their books, faith in God booklet and come dressed in uniform.

This month Nathan Bugnet is the denner.
Snacks: bring enough for 10 boys.
11th Nathan
18th Gabriel
